As the primary contact in Event Espresso I get a confirmation email to the address I’m using for that. This email is like so:

<———————————————->
Test Event 2 registration confirmation
<———————————————->
Registration Summary:

Primary Attendee

Jack Buyer

buyer2ufoodie@gmail.com Test Event 2 | General Admission May 31, 2014 – May 31, 2014 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm 1 attendee

Last Name:

My question is why (as the admin, or primary contact) do I get an email that allows me to download a ticket to the event. The email the buyer gets does not have that ticket download in it. Shouldn’t the buyer’s confirmation email have a ticket download and pdf receipt in it? Thanks again for you help?

The admin email is hard coded in email.php, so it is not easy to change. The registrant’s email, on the other hand, is easy to edit in the admin. So if you do not have the ticketing add-on installed, you don’t want the registrant email to have the ticket link in it. When you install the ticketing add-on, you can add the ticket link into the email by using the shortcode [ticket_link].
