Hi,

In EE4 should those registered for free for an event (a bulk registration), using the admin section, get confirmation emails? ‘Registrants’ is enabled in Message settings for ‘Registration Approved’. There was no registration email sent to the admin email address, but one of the registrants also didn’t get an email (she got a MailChimp sign up email though).

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

Was the send related messages option checked during the registration?

Also, could you check to see if the notifications arrived to the spam folder? If they did, then try using a transactional email service like Mandrill, Postmark app, or Sendgrid:

Hi Lorenzo,

The truth is I don’t know about the send related messages option. It shows on my user account, and is checked by default, but someone else is sending out the bulk registrations, and she has more limited permissions with her user role, and the ‘send related messages’ box doesn’t show for her when adding a registration. Which role permission for EE4 do I need to change to get this showing for her?

Thanks,

Nick

Hi Nick,

I misunderstood you as I thought this was a manual registration through the WP dashboard but you are actually wanting to resend notifications.

If you are sending out a large number of notifications, then they could be flagged as spam. I highly recommend using a transactional email service if you are using shared hosting:

No, you understood me correctly Lorenzo – it was a bulk manual registration through the WP dashboard. I only had the thought about resending registrations because emails don’t appear to have been sent out using the manual registration. So, there are two questions to answer:

1. How do I change the permissions for the user so that she can enable the ‘send related messages’ option?

2. How do I bulk resend registration confirmation emails?

Hi Nick,

It appears as a yellow box towards the end of the page when you are manually registering through the WP dashboard:

Also, its checked by default so even if they cannot see it, then notifications should still go out. What is the user role for the limited login?

On your other question, go to the registrations overview screen for a specific event and then select some registrants. Then click on the bulk options dropdown and select approve and notify:

Thanks. It’s a custom user role, where I am using a a roles plugin to include ee permissions. I know the yellow box well. It appears for me, but for the other user, so I am presuming this is related to permissions.

Any idea which of the permissions I need to change to get the yellow box showing for the other user?

Hi Nick,

Could you add the following capability to the user?

ee_send_message
