Registration – Confirmation Emails Not Received

Hi,

I have been having problems with my Confirmation emails for a while.

People register for an event I host. They sign up for themselves and a friend.

Everything checks out, the person who signs up will get a confirmation email but the friend confirmation email does not work, or they do not receive it.

Hi there,

Can you link me to an event I can use to test this?

When you view the message queue: Event Espresso -> Messages -> Message Activity

Do you see the ‘friend’ emails there or not?

In the messages, I see the confirmation emails for everyone. EE4 says it sent them out to everyone. It is all green and timestamp.

But a lot of people been emailing saying they never received the email for their friends or family that they signed up for.

So you see both registrants emails in the list and they both show sent?

If so, that means the messages are getting correctly triggered but not received after they are sent, generally that would mean the message is being marked as spam or the mail server is dropping the email for some reason.

Is there an event I can test this on?

Usually, with delivery issues we recommend using a transactional email service and have some listed here:

Nope (I haven’t registered onto the event yet), but I don’t think anyone on that list would be impressed with publicly posting their email addresses so I’ve removed them from view.

I’ve just registered under my name, if you go to Event Espresso -> Registrations you’ll find 2 registrations under my name. Tony1 and Tony2.

Can you click the checkbox next to both of those registrations and in the bulk options at the top select ‘Approved and notify registrants’ then click apply so that I get the emails please.

Hmm, ok. I’ve not received any messages at all.

Can I take a look at the messages in the admin? If so you can send temporary login details using this form:

I completed the login. Now everyone who signs up, is getting two confirmation emails.
