In completing a front-end registration, it seems that the Registration Approval email message isn’t generating automatically. In reviewing the EE > Messages queue, it looks like they get “Queued for Generating” but then the system never actually creates the email. I was able to click the wrench icon to manually get it to generate, at which point, it sent without issue a few minutes later via Mailgun sandbox delivery. We are not receiving any error messages (which was the issue in other forum posts I searched), so I’m hoping this is just a new setting somplace within the latest EE4 version.
Areas we have confirmed / checked:
• EE4 updated to most current version, license is activated (note that it’s activated on our staging site, so I know we’ll have to work with support to reset it for go-live, but let us know if there are other dev-friendly options we could use going forward).
• Confirmed that cron is enabled on both staging & live sites
• Mailgun sandbox credentials are in-place, and developers are listed as approved recipients there. Delivery seems to be no problem once the email actually generates.
• Confirmed via Mailgun logs that the manually generated email sent successfully, and no other registration emails were sent.
• Default registration status on Events is set to “Approved”

If you go to test an email from one of the email Message template editors, do you receive the test? If so, it may help to go to Event Espresso > Messages > Message Settings and set the the option for emails to be sent on the same request.
Thanks Josh. Yes, we do receive test & generated emails. The issue was specifically with the generation step after registration, which was not completing. We have updated the settings to “on the same request” as you suggested, and it seems to have resolved the issue. Registration confirmation emails now appear to generate & send immediately upon order completion. Thanks for your help!
