I’m working on a project for a client and Event Espresso seems like it has 90% or more of what we’re looking for, but I have a couple of pre-purchase questions:
My client sells acting classes. As part of the registration process, they want to have a lot of custom questions, which Event Espresso does fantastically! The one thing I didn’t see, though, was a way to have the customer upload a file. (In this case, they want their customers to be able to upload a headshot image.) Is this possible?
Second, they do not want the customer to pay for the class/event until someone has reviewed their “application” (registration) and billed them for it. They’ll be accepting PayPal, check, or cash. Would this be possible?
Third, is there a way to have recurring (monthly) payments? For instance, if someone registers for a 6-month long class and needs to be billed monthly for 6 months (after their “application”/registration has been approved).

Hi Amanda,
File upload – Currently that is not available.
Pre approval – Yes an event can be set for pre approval. Once approved they are emailed with a link to the payment overview page to pay.
Recurring payments – That is not currently a feature of Event Espresso.

On pre approval – so if someone registers 3 people does this mean that if i ‘approve’ just 2 of the 3 attendees, the payment link only takes the ticket cost for 2 of the attendees ?

Hi Mike,
With the pre-approval feature, you’ll need to manually approve registrations for them to receive an email link to pay.
Also, only attendees/registrations who receive approval will receive a link to pay.

OK, so this isnt happening in EE4 then. Only the primary reg gets the link to pay, and has to pay for the total amount, even if only some of the regs are approved.

I’ve finished up some testing with Event Espresso 4 and I can see that it is charging for attendees/registrants who have not been approved. I’ve created a report for the developers to review.
