When i click on the Register Now” button, it loads a page with the short-code “[ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT]” and not the actual contents of the checkout page.

We have two events taking place this moth and the another the next month. I am using Alternative Registration Pages for each event with the “[ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT]” on each page with its respective title.
But when i click on the register now button all i get is the page with the short-code.

Could you please let me know how I can correct this issue.
Thanks in advance.

I am using Alternative Registration Pages for each event with the “[ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT]” on each page with its respective title

So you have 2 pages with [ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT] added to both?

You can’t have multiple pages using that shortcode, EE will only track and use 1 page, the one set within Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Critical pages -> Registration Checkout Page.

I am using Alternative Registration Pages for each event with the “[ESPRESSO_CHECKOUT]” on each page with its respective title.

You mean the setting within each event, shown here? – http://take.ms/vDYz6

If so that’s not going to work how your expecting. When you set an alt registration page EE expects that page to handle ALL of the registration process, its basically used to display the details on your site, but direct the user to another if they want to register. The registration checkout pages need a ticket selection passed to it for it to function, uses the above feature disables the ticket selector so the checkout page can not function in that way.

I’m not sure I understand why you need 2 checkout pages? EE dynamically builds out the content of the checkout page for the selected event(s) and displays details for those events. Creating 2 pages to display the event title should not be necessary. Is there a link I can view this on?

To fix your problem you need to chose one checkout page, set that page within the General Settings -> Critical Pages -> Registration Checkout page and view that page.

It should say something like ‘nothing in your event queue’.

If not and it just shows the shortcode you may need to re-create the checkout page, add the shortcode and set that page within the settings.

Then remove the alt registration page from your events and use the single checkout page.
