Hi, Actually i have created this event “Prophetic Activation School 2019 (50 hour) – Sydney”. and also integrated it with mailchimp list. So please check this issue and confirm me that how we can resolve it asap. Also mailchimp integration is not working. Also i have updated the new eventespresso version. Please check the issue and resolve it asap. Thanks |
Hi there,
Is this in Event Espresso or MailChimp that the record is updated?
Is this in the EE attendee list? Are you finalizing the registrations by selecting a payment method? Do you have a test event I can run a test registration on to view this?
When you say it’s not working, what happens? |

Hi Tony, First, i will need to fix the attendees issues. Actually when i am trying to test the registration for event then new contact are showing in the attendees. and previous was removed. so for now you will need to check this issue. After fix this issue, i think mailchimp integration can work. Also i have created the new event and tried to test the registration. we are facing the same issues. For ex. if you will try to register with 2 email ids for test the process. Please check the below links for the events – Thanks & Regards |
I asked this above in relation to this: Are you finalizing the registrations by selecting a payment method? Looking at your event, you have PayPal standard enabled so are you selecting PayPal and making a payment to reach the ‘thank you’ page? If not, your session will still be opening meaning if you go back and register again, you will overwrite your original registration.
Do you mean 2 attendees in a single group or register then go back to the event and register again? There are not enough details in your posts to know what you are actually doing to reproduce, please provide the full steps you are taking to reproduce. |

Hi Tony, Yes, i have tried to register in two browsers. now both contacts are showing. Now we will need to fix the mailchimp integration issues. i have installed the “EE3 MailChimp Integration v1.3.p” add on and integrate the mailchimp list on this event. But when i am trying to register then confirmation email (double optin) are receiving from mailchimp so with confirm the email, contacts can’t add into the list. so we want to disable the double optin/confirmation emails. can you please confirm me that how we can do it. Also i have already disable this option in the mailchimp. Thanks & Regards |
If you are receiving the double opt-in email then MailChimp add-on is working as it should. So the problem is after you click to accept the opt-in email, your subscribers are not added to the list? Have you checked back after a little time, I’ve seen it take over an hour for those opt-in links to work. Currently, the EE3 MailChimp plugin doesn’t have an option to disable double opt-in. |

Hi Tony, We are using the this mailchimp add on in the previous years, but then there was option for disable the double optin option. Aprox. 3yrs ago, i have already discussed reg this issue. then you have sent the below message to me on this thread/topic – https://eventespresso.com/topic/reg-mailchimp-integration/ ——————————- Within /wp-content/plugins/epsresso-mailchimp/MCAPI.class.php line 1567 is this: function listSubscribe($id, $email_address, $merge_vars=NULL, $email_type=’html’, $double_optin=true, $update_existing=false, $replace_interests=true, $send_welcome=false) { Which needs to be changed to this: function listSubscribe($id, $email_address, $merge_vars=NULL, $email_type=’html’, $double_optin=false, $update_existing=false, $replace_interests=true, $send_welcome=false) { Notice $double_optin=false disabled the double opt in emails. Or using FTP you can replace the current file you have with this – http://take.ms/79rDu Which already has that modification. But when i am trying to check this option in the php files, then its not showing. So for disable this double optin option, now should we need to download and install the EE4 plugin. Also can we use the EE4 and its addons on the same EE3 Business licence. Please confirm me. Thanks & Regards |
That’s from an older version of the add-on from when it used an older version of the MailChimp API. The latest version is different and doesn’t have the above as you mentioned. There’s a filter which may be able to disable the opt in emails on the new EE3 version, I’ve requested some feedback from one of our developer to confirm.
EE4 does have it available as an option yes, and yes, you can use EE4 with your current license. If you go to your account page you’ll see all of the available downloads there. Note, that whilst I do recommend updating to EE4 its important to note that it is very different to EE3 and works in a completely different way. So I recommend you create a development copy of your site and install EE4 there first to confirm it works how you expect/need. |
