When last we tried using the Calendar plugin for our EE4 installation, recurreing events caused a solid color band to stretch from the start date all the way though and including any and all days in between (rather than having a Wednesday night 6-9 class for 6 weeks, it appeared to be every day from start to end date). We have been forced to use a separate plugin and manually add the dates. We would LOVE this to not be the case. Any movement on this?
The solid color band would happen if a single class was set for 6 weeks long (where the start time and event time are 6 weeks apart). This can be avoided by setting the datetime for the class to occur on a single date, then set the time to start at 6 and end at 9. Then more datetimes can be added to the event (to show the other times that the class meets).
Hi Josh,
But then won’t those date times show up as separate classes that students would have to sign up for?
But theoretically – if we have a class that meets every Wednesday from 6-9 pm for 6 weeks (one term class) we should be able to get the Calendar to show that class color block only exists on Wednesdays for 6 weeks? We don’t want the student to have to buy 6 wednesdays, just the one class.

No they will not. When you set up the class in the event editor, you set up those separate datetimes, but they can all be connected to the ticket option there. So when someone registers for that class, they are automatically signed up for all 6 classes.
