Received a registration confirmation, but attendee not on list

As the event host, I received an email confirmation that someone registered for an event. However, when I review the attendee list, she is not listed.

So I clicked on her name in the email confirm I received and it took me to a blank record. The registration ID numbers matched, but the record was blank.

Also, when I tried to do a search on her registration ID number in the live search filter, nothing came up. Any idea what’s going on?

I took a look at the registration page and it looks like everything is set up correctly to prevent spam form submissions. Sometimes those can cause blank records. When you received the admin email, did it have the attendee’s information in it? First name, last name, etc? Are you able to take a look in the database directly with phpMyAdmin or the WordPress Adminer plugin?

Hi there, thanks for the prompt response! Yes, I can see the full registration info. This was not spam. She did send a direct email to say she was having problems with the payment portion of the registration. But usually when that happens, we can still see the registration on the attendee list – so I wasn’t quite sure why she wasn’t showing up. I have not yet looked at the database directly but can do so. I have not heard of the WP Adminer plugin… I’ll have to check that out too. Thank you.

If she used the back button on the browser back to the registration page that may be why the data was blanked out. We have some code in there where if they use the back button to go back and correct info on the registration page, it will overwrite the first entry’s data, rather than creating two entries. So the first time sent you the admin email and the second time wiped the record.
The adminer plugin lets you look directly at the database tables. You’ll see tables that start with wp_events_ The one for the attendee’s data is wp_events_attendee. Occasionally, adminer will conflict with other plugins and won’t work, in which case you can get to the same data through your hosting provider’s cpanel. There should be an entry under Databases for phpMyAdmin.

Thanks Sidney. We talked to the user and she said the screen went gray. Not sure what that is all about… But, thanks for the suggestions. I do know people have issues with the payment process, not sure why but we hear that all the time. Some of the issues arise when they use their phones to register.

The screen shouldn’t go grey, but if they try to exit the screen before finalising the registration, a pop up will appear, perhaps that has something to do with it.

What issues are your clients having with registering by phone? Any feedback we get is always appreciated. We try to make the product as usable as possible on numerous devices though with the number and variety available it isn’t always easy.

I will have to get more information for you regarding the registration by phone issues; I do know that a majority of the issues are during the payment portion where people are unable to complete the registration.

If you could get more info that would be great.
