Does this have:

– require membership before registering/paying for an event
if yes, is this with eventespressos users, or ‘wordpress’ users? How can we integrate the two, by making users register on wordpress first, then being allowed to pay for an event?

– is there a section to view all attendees for all events in the past like a saved user database? will it keep all their details such as email, address, phone number etc?

– allow digital download of a file only to users who have paid for an event.
eg. user pays to attend an event, would like to allow them to downloda an info PDF, but not let this file be available to the public.

– require questions to be answered upon registration
trialing the free version, there is no option for ‘address’ questions – I’d like users to require providing their address and any other ‘question groups’ i create

– if i create my own event page, can i just use short codes and lay out the page myself, and still have a link to only the registration page, or just a short code for the event description etc separately?

– with a short code like [LISTATTENDEES], if I create a separate event page, how would the short code know for which event to list the attendees?

– can you get rid of the watermark: Event Registration and Ticketing Powered by Event Espresso

– what happens if there are 10 seats, and 10 people have registered but not paid and more people want to attend the event?
Will other people be able to register and pay first? or do the seats reserve for them to pay?
how long do they have to pay and is there an option to remove them from the seats if they haven’t paid?

Hi Jason,

There’s a fair few questions there, so hopefully I can answer them all to your satisfaction.

– require membership before registering/paying for an event
if yes, is this with eventespressos users, or ‘wordpress’ users? How can we integrate the two, by making users register on wordpress first, then being allowed to pay for an event?

No, but you can have that. We have an add on called WP USer Integratiosn whihc can allow you to set an event to Member only. In whihc case the user would need to be registered and logged in to register for the event. We use WordPress users for this. YOu would require a third party membership system or use the default WordPress one as we do not have a membership add on as such.

– is there a section to view all attendees for all events in the past like a saved user database? will it keep all their details such as email, address, phone number etc?

All attendees are saved in the database until deleted, along with all the questions they answered on registration. This can be viewed via the admin on an event to event basis or exported to CSV file.

– allow digital download of a file only to users who have paid for an event.
eg. user pays to attend an event, would like to allow them to downloda an info PDF, but not let this file be available to the public.

No sorry, we don’t currently have a way to provide downloads.

– require questions to be answered upon registration
trialing the free version, there is no option for ‘address’ questions – I’d like users to require providing their address and any other ‘question groups’ i create

The address question group comes as standard with the premium version, you can also create your own questions. All questions can be set to required.

– if i create my own event page, can i just use short codes and lay out the page myself, and still have a link to only the registration page, or just a short code for the event description etc separately?

We have a variety of shortcodes, some that will show a list of events, some that will pull in a single event in entirety and one that will pull in just the registration form for a particualr event. So in short, yes.

– with a short code like [LISTATTENDEES], if I create a separate event page, how would the short code know for which event to list the attendees?

By default it lists ALL attendees. There is a parameter to limit it to a particular event [LISTATTENDEES event_identifier=”your_event_identifier”]

– can you get rid of the watermark: Event Registration and Ticketing Powered by Event Espresso

Yes in the premium version.

– what happens if there are 10 seats, and 10 people have registered but not paid and more people want to attend the event?
Will other people be able to register and pay first? or do the seats reserve for them to pay?

That depends. We have 2 unpaid statuses, Incomplete and Pending. Incomplete does not count the person towards the capcity so someone can still register, pay and reseverve the spot. Pending DOES allocate that spot so you could have 10 places filled with 10 unpaid people and no one else can register. You can choose which. We also have waitlist events that can be used to garther details of people interested if a spot becomes available.

how long do they have to pay and is there an option to remove them from the seats if they haven’t paid?

well this seems to be moving over towards the seating chart add on. If you DON’T have that add on installed then it is as per abvove, there are no time limits to pay. If you have the Seating chart add on it will allow them to select a seat but if they do not complete the purchase (generally by paying) within X amount of time, the seat gets feed up.
