Hi, I’ve been using Event Manager Pro for a member oriented site using Buddypress, and it is falling short of my needs.

It seems like I may be able to accomplish what I need with EE, but I have a couple questions I wanted to check on before committing to purchase..

1. If I reserve 4 spaces to an event, one for myself, and 3 for additional members (like a golf outing), I need notification emails to go out to each attending member’s email address upon submission and confirmation. All members are registered WP users.. Can I do this?

2. Using the same example, if I reserve these 4 slots and begin to enter the additional member names I am reserving for, will your WP-User add on produce a list of possible selections that I can choose from? eg: I type “Jo” and the form pulls up a list of all registered members who have “Jo” in their name that I can click on to select for registration. Is this possible?

Thank you in advance, looks like a great plugin.

1. Yes, emails go out to each attendee that you have collected personal information for (first and last name and email address).
2. No, that kind of auto-complete functionality would have to be a customization for you. But I would be more concerned about disclosure of personal information. Someone filling out the form would be able to gather first and last names and email addresses of every member of the site.

Thanks Sidney,

The site is private, with a public community for members, so that kind of information being public to other registered users is not a concern. The events for this particular site are always going to be private for registered members only.

That being said, if I am manually adding additional registered users to my reservation, would I also need to manually add the users email address to notify them as well, or can the form automatically send notifications to that user based on the email address they have registered with their user account?

Further, can you guys offer additional support (paid if necessary) to help me integrate this type of functionality?

The current members add-on basically fills in the registration form for the primary attendee based on who is logged into the site, so you would have to enter the first name, last name, and email address for any additional attendees.
Yes, we could do the development for an autocomplete add-on as you described, but we would have to do some more research before we can give you a firm figure on how much development time it would take.
There are a number of autocomplete library plugins for jQuery, so it would be a matter of configuring it to load on the registration form page and tell it which fields it is autocompleting and the url to call in to the back-end of the site to get the member information to populate the autocomplete. Then writing the code on the back-end that the JavaScript calls to that fetches the information from the database and sends it back to the JavaScript.
