Promotion code option not shown to customer, not accepted in Transactions screen

Hi,

We’re having trouble with a promotion code that has been created for an event.

The customer is not shown the box to enter the code, and the code is not being accepted in the Transactions screen. The error message that is displayed says:

The promotion code entered could not be processed for an unknown reason.
You are welcome to try a different promotion code or to try this one again to ensure it was entered correctly
“.

Last successfully used mid-August, and the only thing that has changed recently is that WP updated itself last night.

Any ideas?

Hi Anita,

The specific error message you are getting happens when no response is received from the function used to submit the promotion code.

I can’t see any issues with the details/promotion you sent over so I’d like to take a look at the admin and see if anything stands out if thats ok?

If so you can send temp login details using this form:

https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

Note – in order to test this I’m going to need to try applying that promotion code. I can either create a new registration on that event or if you prefer for me to test on one that has already been created please include details (the Transaction/Reg ID for example) on the form so I know where to test it.
