WP 3.8
EE4
EE Multi Event Registration 1.0.5
EE Permissions 1.5.5 (I think this is for EE3 though)

We are unable to see the Promo Codes in our installed EE4. Can you please let us know how the promo/coupon code works and where to find in the admin area?

Another issue is we created multiple tickets in an Event, but when booked, only 1 ticket is shown in the Registration Page.

Hello,

Addons for Event Espresso 3 are not compatible with Event Espresso 4.

There is a calendar addon for EE4.

Please see this post for more information:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/status-of-ee4-add-on-compatibility/

Are your tickets visible in the Event Editor?

Hi Lorenzo,

I removed the Permission that was installed and activated the calendar.

Tickets are visible in the Event Editor – yes.

Hi Lorenzo,

Sorry still unable to see the Promo/Coupons – can you please direct me where to find those or do I need to do something in the settings please?

THank you.

Hi Angus,

Promo codes are currently not available within EE4 (please read this article https://eventespresso.com/2014/02/event-espresso-4-beta-officially-released/ )

We have that feature as part of our shorter term focus, as we know promo codes are a key part to many peoples business. Unfortunately, I cannot provide a timescale on when this will be ready, but I can advise that it is being actively developed as we speak.

Hi Dean,

Thanks. Ok, any workaround? If we use EE3, can the template/theme codes used will work please?

Also in the above link, in the registration, it is currently shows 1 ticket in the total even if you selected 3.

EE3 and EE4 are vastly different. EE3 will possibly work with your theme but the registration flow will be much different and the events are displayed differently.

Are promo codes essential for your current event? If so you may need to use EE3, however to note your current events from EE4 will NOT transfer to EE3.

Also in the above link, in the registration, it is currently shows 1 ticket in the total even if you selected 3.

You are currently using a rather old version of EE4 (4.1.6.reg) the latest release is 4.2.4.reg which displays the registrations differently and will separate multiple ticket types.

I would recommend updating, but before doing so, perform a full site back (files and database) we have a guide on how to do so here:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/

Although this depends on if you will be continuing to use EE4 or switching to EE3 (still advisable to backup in either case)

Hi Tony,
Not sure where to go yet, so just another questions please. When we go to Settings > Payment Methods > Clicking on any methods do not show any options – i.e. PayPal Standard

Have you de-activated all of the other EE3 Add-on plugins?

This could be due to a number of issues, such as conflicting with other plugins.

If you enable WP_Debug are any errors thrown within the Payment Settings?

Starting today, current support license holders can opt in to the pre-release channel and download the Event Espresso 4.7 and Promotion add-on pre-releases.

We’d love to get your feedback on some of the new promotion features and changes that we’ve been working on. These include:

  • New interface for managing promocodes
  • Promo code discounts now apply to entire order instead of per ticket
  • Promo code generator
  • Automatic (non-promo-code) discounts
  • Discounts limited by quantity
  • Discounts limited by start date and end date
  • A widget for displaying non-promo-code discounts
  • A shortcode for displaying non-promo-code discounts
Important: The Event Espresso 4 promotions add-on will activate only if Event Espresso 4.7 is active. This means you’ll need to install the Event Espresso 4.7 pre-release before installing the promotions add-on.

If you haven’t already opted into Event Espresso’s pre-release channel, you can go to your account page and check the box to opt in to the pre-release channel. Once you opt in, the download files will be available under the EE4 tab under the Pre Release Downloads heading.

You can find out more information about in the pre-release channel guide.

If you have feedback about Promotions or the 4.7 release, please reply to that Promotions announcement or start another new topic.
