Problems with Venues Manager

EE 4.3.1.p
recently updated to 4.3.1.p from 4.2.0.reg
only one active event: http://www.maryvillevineyard.com/events/financial-peace-university/
many more coming: http://www.maryvillevineyard.com/groups/

I have several problems w/ the Venues Manager. The most critical is that most of the venues in the venue manager are NOT available for me to select while editing an event. The Venues drop down menu has a very limited selection available compared to the venues in the manager.

Is this based on users? If so, WHY? Won’t this just force me to duplicate venues for all users? Any solutions or workarounds?

Secondly, after updating to EE4, many duplicate and/or invalid venues appeared and are locked.

Please help, especially on the first issue. Thx!
