Problems With Slow Loading ALL EVENTS and ALL ATTENDEES

Hi Team EE-

I see that several other people have had this same problem but no simple solution has ever been posted.

I am running: Event Espresso Version 3.1.36.5.P

We have 397 or so events and we have about 300 active attendees which will grow to thousands.

It has been ridiculously slow and or won’t load for the management team in the office and they are getting weary and frustrated.

I think my THEME might be conflicting in some way with the code? That seems to be the possible problem.

Is there anyway for you guys to help me?

Hi Bill,

What sort of server are you using: shared, VPS, dedicated? If you are on a shared server, it could simply be that you don’t have enough processing power.

If you think the theme is to blame, have you tried running an alternative theme temporarily, either on a development server, while in maintenance mode or via a plugin such as the Theme Test Drive plugin?

I have a high end VPS – NOT shared hosting.

Is there anything you can help me with? The software is not usable this way.

The theme might be part of the issue but it is a live site with about 5000 uniques per week. I have to be careful what I alter and touch.

I tried the TEST DRIVE THEME PLUGIN but that does not alleviate the problem.

I feel like anytime I have a problem you guys tell me the same two things rather than helping me really fix it.

I need someone to look at the code and determine the issue. Because it doesn’t even load and we can’t run a company this way.

In the future if your software has so many problems with themes I recommend a special test before your software is installed to see if there will be compatibility problems.

One of the other techs helped me with a similar problem on the PERMISSIONS BASIC PLUGIN. They had me adjust the code since we have 30,000+ users in our system and that too wasn’t loading.

Can you please look at the code and help me determine the issue. The clients are getting testy and I sold them on your software.

It turns out that we do have a test we can recommend for themes:

Can you check the PHP error log for when the all events and all attendees page loads? Also, is this in the admin or is it on a page on the front end?

Can you also have your dev team check to see if they’ve modified any of our code that queries this information from the database? We normally do not see any slowdowns with this small number of events.
