I attempted to run a test transaction using the standard PayPal account. EE4 auto populates the credit card information. My test transaction is unsuccessful because it says the expiration date year is invalid and prompts me for a valid date. Any suggestions?

Hi Michael,

I’m not sure I understand the issue clearly. Is this PayPal Standard or PayPal Pro?

The first option takes you to PayPal.com where you can complete the transaction and then you are returned to your site to view the thank you page. The second option is an on site option.

Next, Event Espresso doesn’t auto-fill any card data. Let us know the option that you are using and we’ll go from there.

Thanks for your help Lorenzo. I set the Debugging Feature and PayPal Sandbox to “Yes” in the Payment Methods menu. Then I proceeded to run a test transaction by purchasing 1 ticket while inside the sandbox. My EE4 is set up for PayPal Standard. VISA credit card info is auto-populated in the Create a PayPal account section.

Hi,

EE does not hold onto any credit card data nor request any from PayPal and this sounds like it is actually happening on the PayPal site.

Are you sure you don’t have any browser settings or extensions running that are entering the data for you (e.g. LastPass, or Chrome’s autofill)?
