I can’t seem to find where Event Espresso supports 3 different prices based on a timeline of dates (early, regular, and late). I see where you can add an early bird price but that would only account for two prices early and regular. I know I can add multiple prices but what would keep someone from selecting the regular price when that date has passed if that option is still there instead of being removed after the date cut off automatically. Thanks for your time. WordPress 3.8 |
Hi Glyndon, How are you today? Event Espresso 3 doesn’t have any date/time specific tickets other than the early bird pricing (which you mentioned). Depending on what you need, EE4 might suit your needs a little better. EE4 will let you create individual tickets with start/end dates, and each can have different prices. I can get you access to EE4 if you want to try it out? |

Doing good, thank you Garth. That would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping me try and find a solution! |

Hey Garth, could you send me a link or let me know what I need to do to get access? Thanks! |
I can either send you a file OR if you’re familiar with GitHub (?) you can fill out this form and you’ll get access to the development versions: https://eventespresso.com/developers/request-repo-access/ |

Could you send me a file, I’m not familiar with github. Thanks again! |
Ok. I’ve sent you a file. If you want to access updates to EE4 (several updates each day) see this: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/alpha-testing-instructions/ |

This is exactly what I needed thank you. When I saved the newly created tickets with dates I got the following error: Fatal error: Call to a member function base_type() on a non-object in /home/txtera/www/www/wp-content/plugins/32-core-alpha-1/core/db_classes/EE_Taxes.class.php on line 258 |
Hi Glyndon, The dev team is working on through some tickets right now related to this. If you sign up for github access you can track their progress. |

Thank you! |
You’re welcome. |

I used the github file and it’s still being worked on which I totally understand as they are working to get things fixed. My problem is I need to open registration immediately. So I tried going back to the original version of EE. I get this message and really just need it to work and I will deal with the two price options based on dates. Warning: version_compare() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /home/txtera/www/www/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/espresso.php on line 1184 Please help and thank you! |
Hi Glyndon, Did you back up your database before you installed Alpha? We do not recommend testing alpha on a production site, but if that’s what happened here, the database backup can be imported by following this guide: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-back-up-your-site/#restoredatabase |

Hi Josh, I did and I have this message when I click on the event I’m trying to edit in the Event Tickets & Datetimes. Fatal error: Call to a member function base_type() on a non-object in /home/txtera/www/www/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-alpha/core/db_classes/EE_Taxes.class.php on line 258 |
Hi Glyndon, It looks like you still have Event Espresso4 activated. If you want to use the original version of Event Espresso you’ll need to deactivate EE4, restore the database to the point before Event Espresso4 was installed, and reactivate EE3. |
