Hello,

I am maintenaing a wordpress site for an association here in Switzerland. They use Event Manager Pro to manage their events year long. This handles booking, online payments, email notifications and so on.
In the mean time, all members are registered and managed using UserMeta extension (which is not the best, I know, but so far it fits the needs).
Do you see any issue moving from Event Manager Pro to EE4 ?
Will WP-User be available in a short term for EE4 ? (is the EE3 version compliant with EE4) ?

I am ready to test all this, but to be able to do so, I have to purchase the whole stuff… Which is not one or two dollars, you see…

Thanks for your help and your feedback.

Cheers

Guillaume

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.

Do you see any issue moving from Event Manager Pro to EE4 ?

That depends. If you are looking to import existing data from Events manager Pro, then that could be a problem. We don’t integrate with that plugin and it is likely (I have not checked) that the data structure is different. As such you may need to import the data manually via CSV files or a database import (if you are comfortable with SQL).

Just swapping over the plugin to start new events with EE should be fine.

Will WP-User be available in a short term for EE4 ?

Unfortunately we cannot provide a time-scale on development processes.

(is the EE3 version compliant with EE4) ?

EE3 addons do NOT work with EE4, the codebase is very different.
