I am meeting with a client tomorrow at his web developer’s offices. I have forwarded EE’s website to the developer so that he could kick the tires, but the client has a few questions: Once someone has registered for an event, how does the organizer verify that a person who has arrived is registered? Is there a conformation number? …a printed ticket? Can this info be accessed from a tablet device? If an attendee arrives at an event without having registered/paid, can they access EE and register and pay from a smartphone or tablet device? It is my understanding that this client would like this, as then no money handler/sales clerk would be needed. How are ticket sales or registration documented; is there a “back office” where admin tasks are completed–can financial info be transferred to quickbooks or other accounting/bookkeeping program? These events and workshops involve cycling. The client is using a program called Voost for registration, https://www.voo.st/ but would like to switch to something that gives better access to info that is relevant to CRM, integrates with digital marketing (like Mail Chimp,) and cost less for processing payments. I hope EE is the answer. Please give me any info that will help with tomorrow’s pitch. |

Hi, Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.
In EE3 and EE4 the attendee will be sent an email confirmation of purchase. In EE3, there is also the Ticketing addon, which allows the attendee to print off or show their ticket via a smart device. These tickets can also be scanned by the Admin using the Ticketing App for Android and iOS, in order to check people in and check that the ticket is valid.
The registration process is all online, as such so long as they can access the internet, then they can register and pay for a ticket.
There is indeed a back office. Information can be exported to spreadsheet. Also we have an Infusionsoft integration (EE3 only) which can automatically send data over to Infusionsoft.
EE3 does sound like the best option for you (it has a Mailchimp addon too). I would suggest taking a look at the Lite version to get a feel for how the plugin operates both front and back end (limited functionality) – https://eventespresso.com/event-espresso-lite-preview/ EE4 is quite different to EE3, and currently does not have all the addons available to it (just the Calendar currently), but if you want to check that out too you can do so via http://demoee.org. If you have any further questions or need clarification, please let me know. |

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly Dean. Would the best course of action be to allow the developer access to a sandbox, allow them to work with EE, make a recommendation to the client and then contact sales? I would like to use PayTrace as a gateway. Do I contact them or EE regarding closing the sale? |

…Pricing: Are the prices given on the “Pricing” one time? Annual? Monthly? Is this also the case for add-ons? Is there a fee to upgrade to more recent versions? Does service and support cost more? |
Hi Tim, We have a demo available for Event Espresso 3 here: https://eventespresso.com/pricing/test-drive-event-espresso/ You can also spin up a demo site for EE4 here: http://demoee.org Our support licenses are renewed on an annual basis. If you license expires, your software will continue to work on its own but you’ll have restricted access to the support team, documentation, and no longer have access to download the latest software. Support is provided through our support forums which are monitored by team members across several countries. We do offer expedited or “priority” support for members that need private one-on-one service. We refer to these as support tokens. Hope this helps! — |

Hi folks, A few questions arose in the sales meeting. Does EE facilitate membership registration? That is to say, can event espresso help in selling memberships into a club or association? Can a potential attendee use a promo/discount code, if they are a “member?” I am asking about events which, for “members” are free. Can a waiver be submitted, prior to/with registration, using tools currently available with EE? |
Hi Tim, You could create these different pricing options in the event editor: http://cl.ly/image/2W3t230b2n2n The different membership options (pricing) would then be available on the single event page. Questions and Questions Groups could be used to collect specific information about each member. For the promotions, you could create member only pricing for specific events or created individual discount codes for members to use. A form/file cannot currently be uploaded with a registration but you could use a required question with a checkbox that has some messaging like this: I understand the terms of conditions of applying to become a member at Name of Organization. — |
