I am looking for a wordpress registration plug-in that can do the following:

1) Allow me to create a custom registration page with drop down boxes, file uploads, text boxes, etc.
2) Allow users to select how many films they want to submit ($5 submission fee for every one chosen)
3) Have a running total of fees due
4) Upload their film (small files)
6) Checkout and pay (I have a Merchant Account with First Data – but will consider alternatives)
7) User and Admin Receive confirmation of submission and payment received
8) User be allowed to log back in and view info they submitted and maybe enter other films
9) Allows admin to view all their submitted data and payments
10) Allows admin to download data, films
11) Allows admin to email all registered users at once with updates

Is this too much to ask, or will your paid plugin accomplish all of this?

Thanks.

Hello Patrice,

I think most of what your require can be done with Event Espresso, but the missing items might be deal breakers for you.

1) Allow me to create a custom registration page with drop down boxes, file uploads, text boxes, etc.

Custom registration forms are no problem: drop downs, text fields, text areas, and tick boxes.

However, we have no file upload system built into the plugin.

2) Allow users to select how many films they want to submit ($5 submission fee for every one chosen)

If films are the equivalent of events or tickets, then yes thats possible.

3) Have a running total of fees due

Payment is generally made there and then.

4) Upload their film (small files)

As per above, not currently possible.

6) Checkout and pay (I have a Merchant Account with First Data – but will consider alternatives)

We have First Data and First Data E4 gateways built in.

7) User and Admin Receive confirmation of submission and payment received

Yes emails are sent to both parties on registration and to the user on payment confirmation.

8) User be allowed to log back in and view info they submitted and maybe enter other films

Users can gain access to their profile and view purchased events. We also have a shortcode to allow logged in users to see this data from the front end. However, it does not allow users to edit their events.

9) Allows admin to view all their submitted data and payments

Yes.

10) Allows admin to download data, films

Depends on data, you can download spreadsheet reports on events and attendees. As mentioned we have no file upload system.

11) Allows admin to email all registered users at once with updates

You can mass email all attendees of an event at once, but not every single user.

Event Espresso does not manage users registration or login, you would be best using a third party plugin such as S2member for that. That plugin or one similar should allow mass registered user emails as well.

Thank you for responding. I have follow up questions:

1) Can you do custom work and add a file upload function for me? If so, how much would you charge?
2) Can the downloads of data be in .csv files?
3) You said I could mass email “but not every single user.” Do you mean I can’t email people individually? Or I can only mass email SOME of my attendees? Please clarity.
4) Does the S2 plugin work seamlessly with your plugin? Easy to integrate?

Thanks.
Patrice

Hi,

1) We can do custom work, depending on our schedule and the job. Please fill out this form https://eventespresso.com/contact/customization-request-form/ and sales/dev will get back to you with a price and timescale. Alternatively you can contact one of our recommended developers – https://eventespresso.com/developers/event-espresso-pros/

2) The main exports are in XLS format.

3) Sorry, I mistyped, but I’ll rephrase it. You can mass email every attendee in X event, and also in Y event, but you cannot mass email both X and Y at the same time, so just one event at a time.

4) S2 isnt fully integrated but it works alongside (i.e. no conflicts).
