Hi,

According to the notes we did some work with this customer via email, so I cannot advise what the outcome of that was.

I think it might be possible to do something like that, but EE wasn’t designed for that sort of use case so it is likely some code customisations and compromises may have to be made.

Firstly I am sorry about the delay in responding to this. Out of the box EE doesnt provide that sort of functionality but we may be able to help get you part way there. I am going to forward this onto Chris one of the other support guys here as he created an internal system using recurring events to create a shift like system for us, so if he can describe what he did it may assist you in your goals.

Hello gentlemen.
I am presuming that we can create a volunteer registration system using these add-ons:
Multiple Event Registration
Recurring Events
WP User Integration
Social Media (for marketing)
Is that correct?

Yes, using those add-ons, you should be able to create a volunteer registration system. The only snag I can see is the need for the volunteer to be able to un-register from a shift from their profile. There, the volunteer would have to email (maybe a contact form on the site) to the organizers to have them un-registered through the admin interface. To have seperate databases for the different cities, you might try using WordPress multisite. Just make sure you don’t use the network install for Event Espresso. You’ll want to install EE on each sub-site individually.
