Pre-registration Pricing

Before you throw up your hands and say “this has been asked and answered!,” know that I searched far and wide in the pre-sales area, but I didn’t find the solution.

I am wondering if Event Espresso can handle this: I have one event, and if you register by Oct. 14, you pay $20. If you register after Oct. 14, you pay $30. However, there is also a banquet at that event…register before Oct. 14, pay $28, register after pay $42. So, the easy answer of “supply a discount code” won’t work very well, as the “percentage” or “dollar” savings aren’t the same at each ticket level.

How does Event Espresso handle pre-registration pricing?

Hi Corbb,

No problem it’s what we are here for.

With Event Espresso 3.1.X what you are after is a little tough as the Early Bird pricing (pricing up to a set date) is event wide and covers all the ticket types in that event.

I believe we are adding a feature to version 4 where each ticket type can have an early bird pricing, but dont quote me on that as things may change before release.

As such the only two options I can see are to either change the pricing structure so both ticket types can use the same flat or percentage discount or to have two separate events one for each ticket type.

Neither are ideal, but I don’t see alternatives currently.
