New install of EE 3 completed,Version 3.1.36.5.P; have WP User Integration Version 1.9.8.p; and Multiple Event Reg Version 1.0.5.p and was under the impression that when somebody registered for an event, it would pull info across. It does, user name, email when logged in. How do I get address info to populate from the user address listed in the WP User Profile (Event Profile is blank as they have not registered for an event yet)when address is required in the reg form?. If I go back and fill in an address in the profile in “event Registration address” it does populate the form. I don’t want member registrants to re-type their addresses in again since it is already in their WP User profile and should be carried across like user name and password.

Hi Mark,
Event Espresso adds meta fields to the users profile (event_espresso_address for example) in order to consistently pull in the correct data, those fields are the fields we recommend using, they are used within a few areas of the plugin.
Altering the meta fields used can be done but would require edits to a core function (although it is Pluggable)
Its also possible to copy the values from other fields and place those values within the EE fields we are using but that’s not something we do currently.
So in order for the Address info to be pulled from the User profile, currently the user would need to fill in the information within the Events Profile Section.

Tony, we certainly want to keep using EE fields with EE. I guess the question is now, is there a way to take the address fields (custom program?) we have in WP User that we know are correct (members filled them out upon joining) and populate the EE profile address as a convenience to our members coming to events for the FIRST time? Perhaps a test in the custom program would be “if EE Address null, fill it in with WP data, otherwise skip to next record. Can we “engage” EE to write the custom PHP for us?

The program would be selectable by an admin to run when we want it to, not be something that runs all the time or part of the EE plug in
