I have a conference event and this conference has a dinner that spouses or guests can attend. A registrant can “purchase” an add-on ticket for this person. Adding it to the event forces it to use the same quantity as the original event ticket purchase. Adding it as it’s own event doesn’t allow the purchaser to enter the actual persons name, it assumes the name of the registrant. How do you “add” a ticket option to an event, that you can then include the name of the individual for that ticket? |

I had a previous forum question that got closed. https://eventespresso.com/topic/ticket-not-letting-us-add-our-own-names/ |
Hi there, We (support) do not close threads manually, however, threads will automatically close if there is no activity within it for 2 weeks. I can re-open the previous thread and merge this one into it if preferred?
Do you mean the additional ticket applies to the sold values/limit?
This depends on the question setup for the events. If you require question groups for additional registrants EE will ask those questions for each individual ticket selected. We currently have the option to collect only a single set of questions (the primary registrant, used for all) or questions for each individual registration (ticket) you add to the group. So if you are looking to do this:
You need to set a question group to be required for ‘Additional Registrants’ in the event, but it does mean that each individual ticket will require those questions. |

So someone can’t purchase a ticket and apply another name to it? |
No? They can input whatever details they prefer for the tickets. Edit the event look for the section where you set the question groups on the event, this section: https://monosnap.com/file/SbYGsxdaZwiWs4NzEmDA0v2DNWikX8 If you select the ‘Personal Information’ question group in the bottom section (Questions for Additional Registrants) EE will ask for registrant details for each ticket. |

How can I send a picture of my event setup for better understanding? |
I have your login details from your other thread so I can take a look at this, which events am I looking at? If you prefer to discuss specific events privately you can either set your reply private here or email directly to support[at]eventespresso.com |
