I just purchased a personal license and downloaded the plugins. I uploaded them to my plugins folder via ftp and they are not appearing on the plugins page. The permissions are set to 755. WP version 3.5.1 I would appreciate your help. Thank you. |
Hi Cynthia, I’m wondering if maybe they need to be unzipped/extracted first? There are some step by step installation instructions here that I’ve found very helpful: |

I appreciate your prompt response! They are unzipped. They unzip when they download. |
Cynthia, The plugins should not unzip when you download them. You need to extract them from the zip file before uploading them to the wp-content/plugins folder. If you still don’t see them, you may want to upload them through the WordPress dashboard. |

They do unzip on my Mac. There is no .zip file in the download. I copied the folders from my download folder and they are all accessible files – no extraction needed. In fact I tried to upload the plugins via WP and there is no .zip file in any of the folders. |
Ah, you must’ve clicked on them from after they were downloaded. That will unzip them. I’m not sure why you can’t see them in the dashboard. You can either download them again from the site and don’t click on them. Then you can install them via the WP dashboard. Or, we can do the installation for you with the purchase of a support token. |

thanks! already tried that… I tried to upload the files directly from my download folder… there were no .zip files… this shouldn’t be difficult – I’ve uploaded many plugins before – I really don’t want to pay for someone to do this simple procedure… I need to get this installed for an upcoming event. Any other suggestions?? |
I understand. You’re right, it shouldn’t be this difficult, but I don’t know what else could be happening. Can you atleast try one more time to download them. If you click on them after the download, it will unzip them. Just download them, then open them through the upload area of your WP dashboard. If it doesn’t work this time, I’ll be happy to install them. I’ll just need your WP admin credentials. You can submit them through this form here: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/

I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your offer to do this install for me! I have been so frustrated with this! So, get this, I move the downloaded folders to my trash so that I can download new files, and I notice that the files in my trash are zipped! So I moved the zipped files back to my website folder and have uploaded 3 and currently uploading the 4th file now! Your good karma paid off! I am incredibly grateful! Thanks so much Jonathan! |
Great Cynthia. I’m not sure why it would do that, but I’m glad you got it working. If you have anymore problems, don’t hesitate to let us know. Oh, may I ask a favor?
