Hi,

I am looking for a WP plugin that covers my events management and booking requirements. These requirements are the following:

– I need to create recurring events (for example: every thursday 18:30 session or every Friday 15:00 class).

– I need to book some sessions on behalf a user (or by login with this user) and booking these recurring events at once, in order to facilitate this process (it would be inefficient to book each thursday event separately). For example the new user “Paul” is going to assist to the “every thursday 18:30 session”

– I need that the users could request a cancellation for a single event.

– I need that the user could request a booking for a single event (I think this feature is also cover by your plugin).

Are these requirements covered by your plugin?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Asier,

Thanks for considering Event Espresso.

Your setup seems fairly straightforward, so the Recurring Events Manager add on (Business or Developer licence) will resolve the creation of recurring events for you.

Booking events for a user can be done from the front end (as a user) or the dashboard. If the user is registered with the site, I would recommend a thirdparty plugin called user switching to easily swap to that user and to register from the front end. That way the event registration is logged to that user account (WP User Integration add on required).

We don’t have a way in the admin to book multiple events at once. However we have the Multiple Event Registration add on, which allows you to add multiple events to a cart. There is also a shortcode where you can add multiple event IDs to and in one click it will add all those events to cart for you.

Regarding cancellations, if the users is registered with your site and logged in at the time of registration, the event is attached to them. As such they can go to their profile where there is a My Events page and cancel. Alternatively you can add a shortcode to a page for a front of site version of the My events page. The WP User Integration plugin (Business and Developer licence) is required for this to work.

Single events, all events are individual so that isnt a problem.

If you have any questions or need clarification please just ask.

I would also suggest taking a look at the different ways in which you can test drive Event Espresso – https://eventespresso.com/product/full-event-espresso-test-drive/
