Since update of WP to latest version Attendee Mover is no more working.
I step 1: select new event – the pull down list is empty!! But here I need the list of all other events! as is was prior update of WP!

Hi there,

Can you try the troubleshooting steps in the Attendee Mover documentation:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/eea-attendee-mover/#troubleshooting

Hi Josh,
they are not applicable – the issue is different:
=> No list entries of events in step 1 – select new event.

Thanks Lukas

Hi Lukas,

Do you have any security plugins activated, or any plugins that block the WP REST API?

Hi Josh,

WP REST API is not installed.
It worked perfect, the stoped. I changed nothing in the setup.
Option a) Issue due to recent WP Upgrade to newest version
Option b) Issue due to too many registrants?

Thanks Lukas

It’s not likely due to the WordPress upgrade or too many registrations. If you changed nothing, and it suddenly stopped working, you should contact your host to see if they’ve set up some mod security restrictions on your server. They can even check the logs to see if searching for events on the Attendee mover page is tripping the security settings. It that is happening, maybe they can adjust the restrictions to allow the attendee mover to search for events.

I have this problem AGAIN. We have turned off all plugins and switched to a standard theme. Same problem.

I checked with host – no change in last 3 weeks.

I really see:
– latest WP update
or
– list overflow
as cause for errors?

Thanks Lukas

Hi Lukas,

Neither of those would cause the attendee mover to stop working. We use the attendee mover with the current version of WP on sites that have hundreds, even thousands of events and registrations.

If you have something in place that restricts the WP REST API that’s built into WordPress core, then that could cause the attendee mover to stop working. This is because the Attendee Mover uses the WP REST API to get events and registrations.

they are not applicable – the issue is different:

So does that section not show ‘The results could not be loaded.’?

WP REST API is not installed.

It is installed, its included within WordPress core unless you have de-activated using another plugin?

Do you have error reporting enabled on the server?

We can take a look at the request and see if anything shows up there, to send log in details you can use this form:

@mpurse
If you can also do the same I’ll take a look at the request on your site.

I logged in, added a registration to your site and opened up the attendee mover.

Your event list is populating fine for me – http://take.ms/IM3G4

Can you add a screenshot of what you see please?

Hi Tony
you can close the ticket.
Its working again. The list disappeared and is back again without change from my side.
Thanks Lukas

Hi Lukas,

Something must have changed somewhere, its possible you’re host made a change server side which has no been reverted but either way I’m glad its working for you.

You can remove the temp account you created for me to check this.
