I bought this current license for another client not realizing a prior license for another client existed and would consume the purchase.
If you are logged into your ‘old’ account and renew your license it basically renews your account, so yes, it would still be linked to the domain it was previously.
This should have been an email but you do not seem to offer phone or email support.

I’m not really sure how else we could handle a renewal on an account here, if you log into an account and renew that account we can’t then wipe the domain linked to the license key as that’s not the norm for renewals.
But in any case, the license key is used for support and updates only so it has very little effect on what happens after renewal for a new client. You need to download the latest version of Event Espresso from your account page to install it (meaning no update is required currently) and EE will work exactly the way with or without a license. You then request a reset and it will be confirmed and processed, usually within 24 hours but can take longer depending on the number of requests being processed.
