Hi,
We are looking to add a feature to all check-out pages in EE4 with a check-box feature allowing permission to opt-in to our email marketing using Mail Chimp. Is there a plug-in for this? Please advise.

Hi Brandon,
We don’t have a checkbox ‘opt-in’ for MailChimp but we do have a MailChimp add-on:

That add-on will automatically subscribe all registrants on your event(s) onto the selected MailChimp lists but there’s no opt-in/out checkbox currently. You could created your own checkbox question, set it to be required to continue and then leave double-opt enabled within the MailChimp settings.
Meaning to register they must agree to be added to the list, but then if they ignore they double opt-in email they wont be subscribed.

Hi Tony,
Yes, I understand what you’re saying here. The check box feature would be nice, but we’ll work within the system limitations. Basically we want to avoid any potential problems with adding names and emails to Mail Chimp without the customer’s consent. This is a work-around.
I’ll pass this along to our web master and will let you know if we have further questions.

You’re most welcome.
We do have plans to add an opt-in checkbox to the Mailchimp add-on but as of yet we don’t have an update ready to release and I can’t give you a timeframe on when we will at this time.
