We are getting a lot of attendees coming through as ‘Pending’ who have not paid through Paypal. We only have one method of payment which is Paypal. There is no offline payment available.
My guess is that people are entering their registration details and for whatever reason are then abandoning the process when it comes to the Paypal finalisation. And EE is capturing this data? Just wanted to confirm that, we are happy to capture these warm leads.
My question is, can admin be notified of these pending attendees by email? Or is there an easy way to email pending attendees?
Is it a matter of constantly checking Event Overview for new pending attendees?
Paypal IPN has already been setup. EE3 in operation.
In EE3 ‘Pending’ registrations count towards your event limits.
When you set the default registration status to pending you are basically saying you don’t care about the payment status, that user should apply to the event regardless.
Is that expected?
The default for that setting is ‘Incomplete’. Incomplete registration do not apply to the event until payment is made (at which point the registration updates to Complete.
In EE3 there is no way to automatically email send emails for incomplete/pending registrations without also sending the confirmation email to the attendee. You can manually send invoice/payment reminds to each attendee however, does that help?
