Hi!
I realize this is probably more of a PayPal issue, but since my problem is related to Event Espresso, I’ll try my luck here anyways.
I’ve tried setting up PayPal Pro for the first time. Validated my PayPal account, got my API settings, and everything seemed to work fine.
But when trying to pay, I got an error message saying “The merchant country is not supported.”
After some googling, it appears that the PayPal Pro setup is only available in US and UK.
Am I missing something, or is this correct?
If there’s no way around this, is there any of the other built in payment gateways that allows on-site card payments in Norway?

It looks like it is only available in UK, US and Canada – https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/howto_product_matrix/
If you are using EE3, then Stripe has a beta available in Norway https://stripe.com/global

I’m on EE4, so that’s not an option.
Are there any docs on implementing custom payment options in EE?

I have found several WooCommerce payment modules that work in Norway. Is there any way to implement an WooCommerce payment method in Event Espresso?

Hi,
Creating a custom gateway for EE4 at this moment in time would be inadvisable – we are changing the way gateways work in EE4.6.0 onwards.
As such we don’t have any documentation for creating a custom gateway for EE4, although we will have some once the changes come into effect (it’s already written).
If absolutely required, you could use an existing gateway’s files and model your custom gateway on that, but as mentioned these will change in the near future so any custom work would need updating/re-writing to work after that point.
Woocommerce is not integrated into EE, so barring custom development they won’t work together.
The Mijireh gateway in EE4 does support some Norwegian gateways:
