We switched to PayPal Pro. We lost the ability for users to pay via their PayPal account. How do we get this functionality back? We want to offer paying by credit card on the site and via their account.

The PayPal Pro gateway can only accept credit card payments. You can use Braintree, PayPal Express, or the new PayPal Express with Smart Payment buttons gateways to accept both credit cards and pay with PayPal account payments.
OK. The options are either reactivate the standard PayPal IPN gateway, or upgrade to EE4 to get the new payment options.
