Hi,

I’ve installed Paypal Pro and tried to update the address fields to be relevant to the UK e.g. Post Code instead of zip.

I’ve updated paypal_pro_vars.php and replacds city, state and zip with town, county and post code, but the form still looks exactly the same (i.e. US version) on the check out page.

Any ideas?

e.g https://www.36exp.co.uk/event-registration/?ee=294

Thanks

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

The easiest way to do this is via the language packs. There is an English translation of the American English and it should cover all the key issues language wise. I checked and it changes over the PayPal Pro fields.

There is a basic guide to transalting here https://eventespresso.com/wiki/translating-event-espresso/#wp-lang

The language files can be found here https://github.com/eventespresso/languages

Be careful here, Githubs downloading methods are a bit weird:

To download the PO file – left click the link on the main page and then right click the Raw button in the top right of the page that comes up and save as.

To download the MO file – left click the link on the main page, and then left click the View Raw text link in the middle of the page that comes up.

If you don’t do this you may end up with a MO and PO file that contains garbage data and the language wont work.

There is one IMPORTANT thing, there is still a ticket outstanding to fix this, but you will need to rename the files from event_espresso-en_UK to event_espresso-en_GB.
