People were getting to the “thank you” page and being prompted to pay again because it was still marked incomplete due to slow paypal IPN.
So what I did was hide the [event_espresso] code with css to stop the user confusion – EE seems to get angry if the shortcode isn’t in the thank you page – but now I can’t send emails to prompt people to pick up where they left off in the registration.
Is there a way to either:
a) Fix the delay with the Paypal IPN so that paid users aren’t prompted to pay again.
b) Do a workaround fix where Paypal sends paid users to a custom thank you page while maintaining the [espresso_payments] shortcode in a separate page to allow for email prompts for users to pick up where they left off.
