Hi, I keep getting the following message from PayPal and after reading through your support forums, I am still lost. Please advise:
———————-
Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

http://polarismep.org/transactions/?e_reg_url_link=1-573d6f87f91f36048ef69a459ba7ce75&ee_payment_method=paypal_standard

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

Hi Jon,

Are you using any security plugins on your site? Also, if you check the logs in Event Espresso > Payment methods > logs, are there error messages from PayPal there?

Hi Josh,
No security plug-in. There is a transaction in the log (doesn’t specifically show as an error, just an incomplete transaction). The transaction, which was attempted after I began getting the error messages (I’ve been getting those for about 2 weeks), appears to show that the person tried to pay by PayPal on May 2nd but it didn’t go through.

You should contact your host and ask them if the webserver meets PayPal requirements that are listed here:

Thanks for the suggestion. I just checked in with them and they said their webserver meets the requirements.

Can you check (or ask the host to check) the server’s PHP error logs and access logs at the time that the IPN was sent and check for errors. The error message will show what to do next.

Along with the above, are you using the PayPal Standard payment method or the PayPal Express payment method? If the former, then I can recommend switching to the Paypal Express payment method. You can use the same paypal account that you’re already using, and you can follow this guide to set up PayPal Express:

Does this help?
[Thu May 04 08:56:35.468335 2017] [:error] [pid 30150] [client 173.0.81.1:59080] PHP Fatal error: Class ‘EE_Processor_Base’ not found in /nas/content/live/polarismep/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Payment_Processor.core.php on line 16

You would have gotten that error only if you had the Event Espresso version 4.9.35.p activated at that moment? Have you since updated to the current version? If so then that would fix that issue.

Hi Josh. I actually did just upgrade this morning to version 4.9.38.
I am hoping that will do the trick. Thanks for your advice.
