Hi, I keep getting the following message from PayPal and after reading through your support forums, I am still lost. Please advise: If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information. If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account. Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

Hi Jon, Are you using any security plugins on your site? Also, if you check the logs in Event Espresso > Payment methods > logs, are there error messages from PayPal there? |

Hi Josh, |
You should contact your host and ask them if the webserver meets PayPal requirements that are listed here: https://devblog.paypal.com/upcoming-security-changes-notice/ |

Thanks for the suggestion. I just checked in with them and they said their webserver meets the requirements. |
Can you check (or ask the host to check) the server’s PHP error logs and access logs at the time that the IPN was sent and check for errors. The error message will show what to do next. Along with the above, are you using the PayPal Standard payment method or the PayPal Express payment method? If the former, then I can recommend switching to the Paypal Express payment method. You can use the same paypal account that you’re already using, and you can follow this guide to set up PayPal Express: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/paypal-express-payment-gateway/#locate |

Does this help? |
You would have gotten that error only if you had the Event Espresso version 4.9.35.p activated at that moment? Have you since updated to the current version? If so then that would fix that issue. |

Hi Josh. I actually did just upgrade this morning to version 4.9.38. |
