Hi,

Using paypal standard I was getting a message during checkout that paypal was not working at the moment so I checked your forums and followed the suggestions to setup paypal express.

When I click to “update paypal express payment settings” I get the following error:

Fatal error: Class ‘EventEspresso\caffeinated\payment_methods\PayPal_Pro\forms\PayPalProSettingsForm’ not found in /homepages/32/d505805666/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/caffeinated/payment_methods/Paypal_Pro/EE_PMT_Paypal_Pro.pm.php on line 41

Please advise.

Many thanks.

Hi there,

How did you install Event Espresso, through the WP Admin or via FTP?

The reason I ask is the above usually means there are files missing from your install so the first step I would recommend is re-installing Event Espresso from within the PLugins menu.

Go to your account page and download the latest version of Event Espresso there.

Go to Dashboard -> Plugins

Deactivate and delete Event Espresso.
(None of your event data will be removed, WordPress shows a notice showing that the data will be removed but its poorly worded as it’s up to the plugin to delete its data when removed and we do not).

Then Dashboard -> Plugins – Add new -> Upload plugin.

Select the zip you just downloaded and upload, then activate.

Does it work for you then?

Hi Tony,

Cheers for the reply – I have followed your instructions – deactivated and deleted EE and then re-installed latest download via plugins.

I hit to update paypal express settings and…

Fatal error: Class ‘EventEspresso\caffeinated\payment_methods\PayPal_Pro\forms\PayPalProSettingsForm’ not found in /homepages/32/d505805666/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/caffeinated/payment_methods/Paypal_Pro/EE_PMT_Paypal_Pro.pm.php on line 41

Thank you, we’ve identified an issue with how we are calling the above class which seems to affect some servers and not others so we’ve applied a fix to EE that should now work on all and pushed an update live.

If you don’t see an update available for Event Espresso go to Event Espresso -> General Settings and hit save, that will force EE to do an update check and it should show in your PLugins menu again.

Once you’ve updated to the latest version (4.9.77.p) can you retest the above and confirm if it works for you then?

Hi again,

No error message but I am still unable to set up as I get the following:

Your PayPal API credentials appear to be invalid. PayPal said “Account is restricted (10002)”. Please see tips below.

The tips are prompting me to check whether I have entered the correct API credentials – I have double & triple checked and they are correct?

Account is restricted (10002)

Means your PayPal account has been restricted on their end, you need to open a ticket with them to investigate further.

Did some reading last night and figured as much – have contacted customer and they are chasing up re. their PayPal account.

Many thanks for your help – I’ll let you know how we get on.
