Hello, I finally got the manual update to the new EE 3.1.31.1 up and running but I’m two issues with my payment page/process. Luckily I’m beta testing and catching oddities before my customers though I need to resolve this in the next 24 hours because I’m gearing up for a heavy registration period. First off the paypal payment button does not look like the default paypal button that I used to have in the old version. Instead there is a simple grey box with the text “pay using” and an arrow in the upper right hand side. How do I resolve this? Also if you chose the other option “check”, the screen expands and has a link that says ” click here to finalize your registration ” which sends you to a “thank you” page that still has payment options….very confusing, basically just looping over and over to the payment options. Here is the link to the test thank you page I created when I chose the “check” option.: http://www.studiosproutsantacruz.com/thank?payment_type=cash_check&id=896&r_id=159-5164cceb1824a&type=check) which still shows you payment options. |

Hi, PayPal button – for some reason it is looking for th button in http://www.studiosproutsantacruz.com/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso.3.1.13.P/gateways/paypal/btn_stdCheckout2.gif when it is in fact here http://www.studiosproutsantacruz.com/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso/gateways/paypal/btn_stdCheckout2.gif You can change the button URL in the PayPal settings in Payment Settings. Cheque – This will be because you have the option “Show payment options for “Pending Payments” on the Payment Overview page?” set to Yes (its in General Settings). Just so you know we cant see links like this http://www.studiosproutsantacruz.com/thank?payment_type=cash_check&id=896&r_id=159-5164cceb1824a&type=check as the system stores session data so you may be able to see it but we cant 🙂 As such you have a fake registrant named Dean in your system now. |

From your other forum thread: 3. At the top of the first payment overview it says “Your registration is not complete until payment is received.”. Can this be edited and where? You can edit this in a few ways 1) Via the language files https://eventespresso.com/wiki/how-to-change-wording-with-poedit/ 2) via a function like this – http://www.viper007bond.com/2011/07/13/changing-core-wordpress-strings/ 3) By editing the payment_page.php template file. I would recommend copying this to wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates and editing it there. |
Thanks for all the help! The first two were simple, I’m not as savvy with code and such so I’ll get someone to help me with that. Later. |

Hi there, I’d recommend going with option number one or two anyway. They’re simpler and you will not have to worry about updating templates after an update. |

This was all very helpful and I’ve completed all three. Thank you so much. If you’d like to close this topic I feel it’s resolved! |
