Hello, We need a way to send customers an invoice with a link to make a partial payment. thanks |
Hi Jacyln, If they own a balance and you use the resend payment reminder link, then they’ll pay the balance that is due for the transaction. — |

Hi Lorenzo, We tried testing the payment reminder notice but it doesn’t have a way of paying online |
Hi Jacyln, it should send a link in that message if there is a balance due. Can you confirm that you are sending it using the button on the individual transaction details page? This is the same page that you apply a payment or refund to a transaction with. If you are, then have there been any edits to that specific message type? Thanks — |

Hi Lorenzo, |

Ok so I received two different types of email payment reminders. One with a link and more info (however, it’s still showing the full amount due) and another without a link as stated before. |
|
My bad, I got the admin one with no link but the one to the registrant shows the full amount due still |
Hi Jaclyn, Just to confirm, have you manually applied the check payment to the transaction within the admin? Like this – http://take.ms/zGQ3z Then – http://take.ms/zGQ3z So the payment then shows in the transaction – http://take.ms/zfVhm I think the problem is that the Single Page Checkout (SPCO for short) continues to show the full ticket value at the top of the page, so once the user clicks to make another payment it looks as if they are making a full payment – http://take.ms/VWp6y However if they select a payment method and continue with the payment, they should only be charged the remaining amount, I used Mijireh for testing but from that page, once I am sent to Mijireh – http://take.ms/aoxTw Which payment method are you using for your Credit Card option? I’ll double check which value it uses and request some feedback from our developers on the value displayed within SPCO. |

Hi Tony, thank you for the breakdown. We did follow those steps and I did a test to see if it showed only the remaining balance owed, which it did. The problem is I think it’s confusing since the initial page does not show the remaining amount due and the confirmation page after the payment still shows total cost at the top with the payment overview at the bottom (per my screenshot: https://www.sacrealtor.org/events/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/partial_payment_screenshot.png). The other issue for us is if we want to apply partial payments with a credit card. For example, $250 was still due but one credit card needed to be charged $170. There doesn’t appear to be a way to do this linked to Authorize.net. Unless there is another way to go about this that I am not aware of? thanks |
Hi Jaclyn, The page showing the full price on a payment re-attempt from the payment reminder email has an open ticket for that to be corrected. You cannot initiate a partial payment during a regular registration checkout. The registrant will be prompted to pay the full amount. However, if they make an payment offline and that is applied, then they’ll be prompted to pay the balance that is due similar to your screenshot. — |
