Hey guys, I had a recommendation by Josh to change from Mijireh, which is fine and I don’t mind doing if it is going to be phased out at some point. I’m in Canada. I currently use Moneris as a payment processor, but require a gateway for EE. I am totally satisfied how Mijireh works, in that I don’t have to deal with Mijireh (except the once per year I print their inexpensive invoice). I would prefer not to have another bank account, i.e. PayPal. I don’t want my regular bank account, Moneris in store processing AND another bank account, i.e. PayPal just for EE processing, if possible. I have spent hours trying to get PayPal Payflow setup and can’t get it figured out. I’m now completely lost in the PayPal world of products. I have a PayPal account and am on PayPal Manager. I think I have Payflow setup properly, but can’t complete a transaction. I’m at a loss, feeling frustrated and would appreciate advice on which product to use going forward. Thanks, Dere |
Hi Derek, According to the Moneris FAQ, they require a different type of account to use Payflow Pro:

Thanks Josh. The PayPal PayFlow Pro account is $35/mo, or $420/year. Mijireh is $49/year. I’m not keen to make that switch. Can the ‘Standard’ work with EE: https://www.paypal.com/ca/webapps/mpp/compare-business-products The only reason I’m checking out PayPal PayFlow Pro was because you recommended it. If I have to pay $35/mo plus get a different type of Moneris account, then that is 2 more accounts I am opening up with considerable more costs, which I don’t want to do. Do you have any other suggestions on how to move away from Mijireh? Any other payment gateways that can integrate with EE and Moneris or Quickbooks Online (Canada)? Thanks, Derek |
PayPal Express would be another option. It doesn’t integrate with Moneris, but it doesn’t have the fees like Payflow/Moneris do. |

But that is another bank account to manage which I don’t want to do. And the fees are higher than Moneris (I have the e-select plan – no monthly fees and transaction costs are less that PayPal Express). Is Mijireh the only gateway that can bridge EE and Moneris? |
Mijireh is the only gateway that connects with Moneris, other than PayFlow Pro. |
