Sorry, this is probably a really basic question, but I don’t know where to start looking / testing for this one. I’ve taken some test tickets and ‘paid’ for them via paypal sandbox account, and it all went through okay to the ‘thank you’ page. So far so good, but no emails arriving.
On checking, I see that the transaction status is ‘incomplete’. The transaction session details say:
Registration Step Progress
Attendee Information : Completed
Payment Options : Completed
Finalize Registration : Completed
… which looks good, but then this next part says payments = £0.00:
I’d recommend switching to PayPal Express (same account type but you need different credentials, follow THIS) PayPal standard uses IPN’s which are known to be unreliable, PayPal Express doesn’t so is considered more reliable.
PayPal standard has been phased out of EE in favour of PayPal Express, its actually now only available if you used it previously or use a filter to force it to show.
