We migrated our website to a new hosting company and once that was done the payment option disappeared from the registration. |
Hi, It sounds like you’ll need to go to the WordPress dashboard, then go to Event Espresso > Payment Settings, and update the payment settings there. The settings may not have been migrated correctly when the site was moved to a new host. |

I have check that and everything seems fine there. What should I be looking for? |
|
How would I expedite this help. I have a lot of events on the website and no one can make a payment to register. This is URGENT. |
It would definitely help if you had a current support license for Event Espresso 3. So the first thing to do is renew your support license for Event Espresso 3, and for optional priority support you can purchase a priority support token. |

Josh Login to your WordPress dashboard (WP-admin) and go to Event Espresso –> Payment Methods –> PayPal Express. Click the button to enable the payment method. You can then copy and paste the API username, password, and signature into the payment methods page and save changes. |

When I click on the renew licence it only has EE4. Can I please chat with someone????? |

This is the message I get Annette, Amount due: C$345.00 Your Registration ID: 5bbcab11109233.68551941 A confirmation email has been sent with additional details of your registration. |
Hi there,
That info is for EE4, as you are using EE3 you won’t have the same options.
You need to click the banner below to go to the EE3 options, or directly here: https://eventespresso.com/pricing/?ee_ver=ee3
You need a valid support license in order for us to provide support, however we do not provide phone support but we are more than happy to work through any issues you have on the forums or email.
I’ve just ran a quick test registration on one of your events and stopped at the payment options, I can currently see you have 2 payment options enabled, PayPal Pro and PayPal Standard. Which payment method isn’t working for you? |
|
|
I set up the paypal pro because the paypal standard wasn’t working. If I disable the pro then nothing works. |
|
Please excuse my lack of knowledge in this area. If I purchase the one website option by clicking the link below, will have have one on one email service? What would be the difference than using the current option of emailing and waiting for someone to answer? |
|
as per your answer below… that option is only available in paypalpro. That’s why I set it up. And I don’t see a place to click for paypal express Login to your WordPress dashboard (WP-admin) and go to Event Espresso –> Payment Methods –> PayPal Express. Click the button to enable the payment method. You can then copy and paste the API username, password, and signature into the payment methods page and save changes. |
That sounds like a different issue from your initial post. Your opening posts state’s the payment options disappeared from the registration, but the above sounds like PayPal standard was available it just wasn’t allowing payments? Note that PayPal Pro will not work with your PayPal account type, so having it enabled means that if a user attempts to make a payment through it… it wont work either way.
Right now you don’t have access to support from us, why? Because you don’t have a support license and we don’t provide lifetime support for a single purchase (it’s simply not sustainable). Your license expired in 2013, at that point you stopped receiving updates and support from us. You can continue to use EE as is without updates and support, that’s fine and is completely your choice, however, if you do want updates/support you need a support license. With a license, you can post in the premium forums (which we monitor closely and generally reply within an hour, usually less than) or email if you prefer (note we keep a queue of threads across the forums and email so emailing directly is no ‘better’ than posting on the forums).
In short, we are under no obligation to post in this forum and/or help fix your current issue(s) without a support license. We also don’t visit monitor the community forum in the same way we do the premium forums. Your opening thread sounded like your payment options were simply not enabled or needed re-saving and if that was the case we’d just advise you to do so (which is what Josh suggested in his initial reply). However, it now seems that’s not the case and you need further support, your site is running really old versions of Event Espresso, PHP and WordPress, any one of those could be causing the issue you are running into (which currently still isn’t clear on what that actually is). If you need help narrowing down the problem/cause, you need a support license, if also need for us to work on the site directly, you’ll also need at least 1 support token.
As mentioned above, the documentation you are referring to with PayPal Express is for EE4, your site has EE3, which does not have PayPal Express. |
