Hi there,
I know there are already other forum posts about this, but I haven’t been able to solve my issue using any of them. During the checkout process, on the registration checkout page, there’s just a blank space where the Payment Method icons (check and Paypal) ought to be. However, if I choose “check” and proceed, then on the next page, choose the little option to view payment methods again, then they show up just fine. This happens in both Chrome and Firefox.

Hi Ross,
Can you try using these image URLs? You can set them in the payment method settings.

Can you try temporarily switching to another WordPress theme like the default twenty fifteen theme?

I’m sorry. I’m a lay person. Are you saying switch the theme of my whole site temporarily? That sounds like a lot. My site has been somewhat painstakingly built (and is operating functionally – besides this hiccup) on its current theme. I’m not sure I’d want to do that. But I may be misunderstanding. Is there any other way to get these payment method icons to show up?

Everything is functioning the way it should, besides the fact that those two little icons aren’t showing up.

Hello,
The URLs are appearing there as I can see the Amazon S3 links. I noticed that they do appear if the page is refreshed but the URLs then change to a WP.com URL which may be from Jetpack’s photon feature.
Could you go to Jetpack settings in your WP dashboard and then turn that off?
Then let us know if the buttons appear during registration checkout.

Yes, it works when you reload the page. But no, deactivating the Photon feature on Jetpack didn’t do the trick, unfortunately.

Hi Ross,
It looks like there’s a theme function that’s set to pre-load and add a transform effect when the images load up. If I disable some of the CSS from the theme using the Web Inspector (see screenshot), the images begin displaying. Can you check to see if there’s a theme option that alters the way the images are loaded? If you find it can you disable it?

Problem solved! It was a “gradual page loading” function that I needed to turn off. Thanks for the help.
