Payment authorized and received back from Paypal in EE but not applied

We’ve been using EE for about three years very successfully. This past Friday, we had three people sign up for our conference. All three went through the normal registration process and checked out via Paypal. Paypal accepted their payment and approved it. For one of the three registrants, the payment applied to the registration transaction successfully. For the other two, the payment showed up in Transactions but required manual “Apply” to complete. Registrations that have occurred over the weekend and today have all processed and applied successfully (so far). Any thoughts?

Hi there,

There are actually some issues right now with the PayPal IPN that affect sites that use EE3, EE4, and other e-commerce solutions. You can avoid those issues by using the PayPal Express payment method that’s bundled with Event Espresso 4. Your same PayPal account can be used with PayPal Express, and you can locate your PayPal Express API information by following this guide:
