Our accounting dept. brought an issue that I cannot figure out and need a little help. Accounting relies upon the ticket name to identify event attendees and matches them up with PayPal payments. The PayPal statement on a recent statement read “Partial Payment Received”. This threw us off since we do not take partial payments. I am not sure how this happened, or how to correct it. It looks like the user had selected the ticket 6 times and then paid for 2. Can you help nail this down and help prevent it in the future? |

Hi Michael, Are you running any caching on the site/server (you may need to contact your host to confirm server side caching)? Is this with PayPal Pro? Can you link us to the event so we can view this? |
Hey, Tony: We do use W3 Cache with the transaction pages excluded. This is PayPal Pro. Here is a link to the specific event: Let me know if you need access. |
When you say ‘transaction pages excluded’, which pages slugs are you using for the exclusion within W3? Did you follow the steps here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/

Thanks, Tony: That is exactly what I followed. This site has been running EE4 since last fall and this is the first this issue has appeared. You can see my cache exclusions here: https://photos-2.dropbox.com/t/2/AABiyV2ACBNyZIJhtBkBM7g0wesp_UAkJm5ZPh7zpkiaPA/12/32922764/png/32×32/1/_/1/2/Screenshot%202015-08-18%2015.53.46.png/EKCH-hgYnOgBIAcoBw/ExQqKpckbgcjmyS2KMqHAiZHgVwDSXhYt0lqWbzKNqQ?size=1024×768&size_mode=2 Other thoughts? |

Hi Michael, Can you retry that link please, I get Error 403 – http://take.ms/9CjxF |

Hi Michael, those pages do have different slugs than the defaults but they appear to be correct. Do you remember the version of Event Espresso that was being used when this occurred? — |
That would have been 4.8.3? It was before I updated to 4.8.4 this past week. |

Hi Michael, Are any of the events on your site set up to have a default registration status set to Not Approved? The reason I ask is because if someone added an event to their cart where the status is set to not approved, that registration can’t be paid for until the event manager approves it. So the transaction would be in effect a partial payment because at the time they pay they’d only be paying for the registrations that allowed payment. |
Thanks, Josh. The event in question is set to “Pending Payment”. We did recently install the multi-event registration. So are you saying that there could a registration for another event in their “cart” that may be set to “Not Approved”? |
Just glancing at the several events that are open, all have the “Pending Payment” for status. |
Hi Michael, Could we take a look at this registration within the admin? If so can you please provide temporary login details using this form: |
