PAID REGISTRATIONS APPEAR AS INCOMPLETE

Hi Event Espresso Team,

We bought event espresso and it didn’t have any plugin yet for Onepay getaway (only available in vietnam),who hire a developed in order to develop that.

We upload and it was working with the old version of eventespresso with no problems. However, since we updated to the latest version of event espresso (in order to upload the attendee mover plugin) it has been having some issues with the international getaway. We have a domestic one, and for that one, it actually works. The issue is that everything looks to be normal but when they arrived to the payment and input all the data and accept, they don’t receive the message of approved and that you will receive a confirmation email. Instead, they are redirected to a page that says registration checkout and they never get a confirmation email. Basically, in our bank account, we receive the transaction but it looks like eventespresso doesn’t receive it so it is lost somewhere. Consequently, the registrants still appearing and incomplete/ pending payment and no confirmation email is sent. RIght now, we are checking constantly our bank account and changing manually the status and sending confirmation email.

Please, we would really appreciate if you could let us know what the issue can be. As you might guess, we are getting a lot of email from people not receiving the confirmation email so it gets really bad for our user.

Hi there,

We don’t provide support for payment methods we have no developed but we can try an help point you in the right direction.

Which version of Event Espresso did you use previously? This would be version of EE4 you used when your custom payment method worked.

You can view a history of the version your have installed within Event Espresso -> Maintenance -> System information -> Activation history.

What type of payment method are you using? Onsite or Offsite?

Onesite would be where the user enters their payment details on your site, offsite would be they are directed to your payment processor to enter details and then directed back to your site afterwards.

Thanks for the fast reply. We really appreciate it.

Regarding the payment method, we are using offsite, they are redirected to a onepay platform where they input the details.

The plugin we had before which was working is:
4.8.35.p
and now we have:
4.9.21.p

In this case you’ll need to contact the developer of the custom payment method for support.

Hi,

The plugin was working before perfectly. We are just having issues now that we changed EE from 4.8.35.p to 4.9.21.p. Could you advise us why this could be happening? Like what did it change in terms of the getaway/ transaction/payment from one version to the latest EE?

There is no way to revert that and come back to the previous version right?

The issues you are seeing now are because the third party gateway code needs to be updated to be compatible with EE 4.9. There were a number of significant changes from 4.8 to 4.9 and they’re listed in the change log starting with version 4.9.0:

The only way you’d be able to safely revert to 4.8 would be to restore from a database backup that was made prior to updating to 4.9. This is because some of the event data from 4.8 was converted to the format that EE 4.9 uses. The way forward is contact the developer of the gateway and ask them to update the code so it’s compatible with EE4. If they’d like, they can open an issue on Github if they have any questions.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for your reply. Our developer has actually left the country and it is not working with us anymore. Therefore, we don’t have anyone to solve that. Do you offer any kind of support to solve issues like this? Or do you offer payment getaway integrations?

We do offer custom gateway development when the developer has availability.
