I am designing a registration form for a client and was thinking about using EE. We are wondering if in addition to the main tickets for the event if we could also include optional “add-on” tickets for a dinner. So in this scenario a user would select their mandatory event ticket, and then if interested (optional) they could also add a dinner ticket later in the form that would be added to their total and be logged in event espresso.
It can be done. In EE3 there is a Beta addon called Price Modifier that uses the custom questions to modify the ticket price.
However, Espresso Price Modifier does NOT yet work alongside the Multiple Event Registration add on which is our “cart” addon.
EE4 doesn’t have that feature yet but it has been added to our feature request list, along with required tickets, so these features may appear in future versions.
But if you’re only taking registrations for one event at a time (or only allow people to purchase tickets/register for one event, then the Price Modifier add-on that is available in the Pre-release channel (available for customer) should help: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/pre-release-channel-guide/
