Hi There, I’m using EE4 Everything for a client’s online streaming event. All registration details are being uploaded via csv including their email address. As a free online streaming event we want to restrict access to registered users only. Is there a way to automatically set up each registrant’s email addressas the login for the event page? So the only way the event page can be accessed is by entering a registered email address? |
Hi there, May I ask, where is the stream being hosted? As in what would the user logging into with their email address? Event Espresso doesn’t have an online streaming feature so logging in would likely need to be a part of whatever you are using for the stream but if you can add some more details on this is set up I can check from there. |

Hey Tony, Sorry for the confusion. I’ll reword my question… I’m creating a virtual event with Event Espresso and want only registered users to be able to access that event page. So the virtual event page will be password protected (not the vimeo live stream) I need… A single password for all users is not a solution for my client. How can I set this password protection up for my virtual event? |
Ok, we don’t have any kind of functionality within EE for unique passwords to gain access to the event content so you’ll likely need some custom development for this to work as is. Do you not require your registrants to log into the site? |

I only require the registrants to log in to the virtual event page where the live stream is. They do not need to log in to anywhere else on the site. do you offer this development? And if so, how much would it cost? |

Or alternatively what’s the process I need to follow to get a refund as the plugin isn’t able to perform the function I purchased it for. |
Ok, so would it work if you could wrap content around a shortcode which then shows an input field on the page until they enter a ‘value’ into that field which is checked against the registrations on the event on shows the content if its valid? For example, you can have something like:
Which, on load doesn’t show the link but rather an input and some text. Using an email address is possible but being public could likely be easily guessed so you could use the ‘Reg Code’ from the registration, or even both if needed. |

Thanks for the workaround but this wouldn’t have worked for my client. In the end I had to scramble and install an alternate plugin (they needed a solution by the 18th Jan). |
Ok, if you’d like to request a refund you can do so here: |
