Every time we update the plugin old confirmations of events already passed are being resent which confuses our recipients. This has happened several times now and always when the plugin is updated. How can we stop this from happening?
Before you update the plugin, can you go to the Event Espresso > Messages page and review the Messages Activity page and check to see if any messages have a status other than “Sent”?
If there are some there, you can delete those before updating.
Also, it may help to set the plugin to clean up the older messages stored in the database. You go to Event Espresso > Messages > Settings and set Cleanup of old messages: to 3 Months.
