Hi There EE4 support. I read threads about this item, I deactivated theme plugins and plugins, but I can not activate Custom Email notifications on an event.I’m happy to provide WP login details if there is a secure way. I like to make the Notifications TAB working. Thanks |

Hi, Can you explain what you mean by “can not activate Custom Email notifications on an event”? Does that mean that there’s nothing in the Notifications box, or is there an error when you click on “Create Custom”, or is something else happening? |
Hi Josh, There’s nothing in the Notifications box. |
That could mean that your email message templates are deactivated. If you go to Event Espresso > Messages > Settings, is there anything in the “Below are message types that are currently active with this messenger.” box? If not, you can move the desired message types over from the inactive box. |
Hi Josh, the message types are all active, the message type registration approved is active, you have other hints? thanks |
Can you share a screenshot of the Notifications box? If you’re not sure how to share a screenshot, you can go to snipboard.io, upload, and share the screenshot URL here. |

Hi, here is a screenshot: https://alwttvn.stackstorage.com/s/2NjD3oLP5uLXwhS |

This could be caused by a JavaScript error happening on the page. Can you check the browser console for a JavaScript error? |
Hi, I see an inconsistency with the WP theme there, I uploaded the Javascript console info under the same link. Same errors with all events. Might be that I need to upgrade on the theme itself maybe. |
Yeah, that error is likely the cause of the problem. If you can send us a copy of the them (add the .zip to the above location) we may be able to give you a snippet to prevent the theme loading those assets on the EE editor. |
Hi Josh, I updated the theme itself to the latest version. Travel-time theme from Cmsmasters. The issue still persists. I’ve uploaded the theme travel-time.zip to the above folder, maybe you can have a look. Thanks |
Hi there, The theme is hiding all elements with the class See here: https://monosnap.com/file/7VCmsE4A5KHsn507B5x65G4yPwTzoF Then if I disable that rule: https://monosnap.com/file/sAwFJIO5lcsHjT4fpF127gjduwseAo You can work around this with something like the Admin CSS MU plugin and this:
With the above plugin, add that to Dashboard -> Appearance -> Admin CSS MU That won’t fix the tabs but will display the content of the notifications section. The other option is to prevent that theme from loading its options within EE events, but that only works if you aren’t using any of those options with events. |
Hail Tony! Your solution works, thanks for digging)) Second option would also go, because we don’t publish the events from EE, they’re published from the theme, with a booking shortcode to the event. In case it would be needed in future I like to hear how this can be done. Please close the ticket and send regards to Josh as well). Awsome teaming guy’s! Sander |

Thanks for the feedback and I’m glad that works for you 🙂 |
