Hi, I’m just wondering how difficult it would be to intergrate Event Espresso with my theme. I’d like Events to list the same way posts do here (http://www.3in1sports.nl/blogs/). I am comfortable working with my template files, but I can’t code from scratch.
Also, will I be able to create multiple lists with event Espresso? I’d like to create one for Health and one for Clinics.
Thanks

Oh.. the title of my topic wasn’t “no results”. It was “intergrate EE with my theme?” I don’t know why it changed…

Hello Florine,

Yes sorry about the post title, I have asked a dev to look into why that is occurring.

Regarding your question, Event Espresso lists events in a similar way to standard posts and you can indeed separate them up by using categories and the EVENT_LIST shortcode on 2 pages with the category attribute set.

To make the events look exactly or similar to the themes posts would require you to turn off any styles set by Event Espresso (template settings options) and you would probably need to style some or all of the content via your themes style.css or a custom stylesheet.

Featured images will be improved and made standard in a future release (hopefully soon, it is just being tested, but I cant give timescales unfortunately)

I’ve decided to go with custom post types to display events. I’ll put the event espresso box on there and use the archive page as a list. Would that be a good idea?

Hi Florine,

I can’t advise if it is a good idea, as it really is up to you how to display it, EE provides the standard event system, posts and custom post options plus plenty of other options (tables etc). However, your system isnt the first way I would have thought how to do it, but it seems as valid as any.

Oh right, there’s a custom post option within EE. I’ll just get the plugin and go from there. Thanks 🙂
